Trova particolare indicazione nella ipovisione centrale sia al momento dell'esame iniziale del residuo visivo per vicino che nel follow-up. Si interfaccia convenientemente con numerosi altri metodi hi-tech e low-tech di indagine della visione centrale (cfr. User's Manual).
